Mother Kelly’s | Vauxhall

Three years after upgrading London’s craft beer bar and bottle shop scene with their 23 tap archway in Bethnal Green, Mother Kelly’s have opened a similar site right by Vauxhall station. As with their E2 boozer, several fridges are packed full of cans and bottles for drinking in or takeaway, and a striking row of 33 shiny, unmarked taps are lined up behind the bar. Beer abstainers will be more than happy with the spirits selection on offer. Food is limited to cheese or meat boards as there is no kitchen to speak of, so you may prefer to swing by Dirty Burger or Brunswick House for sustenance. The arch is open at both ends, with outdoor seating on each side. The more appealing tables are on Goding Street near Vauxhall Pleasure Gardens. It’s a great addition to an area lacking decent beer, and it’s already proving to be very popular with the locals.

P.S. As well as their two archway bars, Mother Kelly’s have two bottle shops in E9 and N16 with growler fill stations and space to drink in that are well worth checking out.
