Eats, Sips & Snaps #6 | January

So much for Dry January. It’s been a busy month full of beers, booze, brunch, Burns Night, and all the dumplings around Chinese New Year. I’ve been back to Bababoom for another round of drooling over Baba’s Eggy Bread. Balcony Booze has had to adapt to the darkness with fairy lights galore. We ate all the fancy prawn toast and roast meats at Duck Duck Goose, a new Cantonese canteen in Brixton, and subsequently ducked in to Fox Bar, a cosy cocktail tavern with espresso martinis on tap. Continuing the animal theme, I also made it to the new Goose Island Vintage Ale House in Balham for a flight of beers from their highly rated and hard to come by Sour Sisters range. And I rang in the Year of the Rooster with festive specials at Ping Pong and Chinese-inspired cocktails at home.
