Eats, Sips & Snaps #2 | October

Time for another Eats, Sips & Snaps round up after a busy half term spent exploring the likes of Elephant & Castle, Clapton & Walthamstow. I’ve been back to some of my favourite haunts including The Hop LockerAnspach & Hobday and Brew By Numbers for beers, Black Rock in Shoreditch for whisky, and Brunswick House in Vauxhall for a speedy breakfast. The Hop Locker is opening a second site on the Southbank (towards the London Eye) with 10 shiny new beer taps throughout the festive period.

There were also some first time visits – Yard Sale Pizza and mezcal mecca Brahms & Lizst in Clapton, Roka Aldwych for Kabuki Hour cocktails and dinner with the London Cheap Eats team, and lunch at the Gladwin Bros. new joint Nutbourne in Battersea. The highlight though was a Sunday night showing of the recent Jungle Book at Backyard Cinema‘s immersive Lost World screen in Mercato Metropolitano – the cave entrance, jungle walkway and rope swing soon made us forget about the Italian marketplace outside.
